Welcome to Irwin Dental Center !
To Our Valued Patients,
We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and expect that all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. It is anticipated that non-urgent dental care can resume when Proclamation 20-24 expires Monday, May 18th and plan to be back to work Tuesday, May 19th. We appreciate your patience and understanding as many of you have had to have appointments postponed. While a lot of things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your care and safety.
Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and hold ourselves to the highest of standards- you may have seen this during your visits to Irwin Dental Center. Please be assured that our office follows strict infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA) and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued to protect both you and our staff.
In accordance with these guidelines, you will see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. For example:
- For the safety of our staff as well as patients, visitors are not allowed in the office at this time. Only patients with scheduled appointments should enter the building. The only exception to this will be one parent or guardian accompanying a minor child or one caregiver for patients requiring assistance. This is to allow for social distancing and minimize unnecessary contact. We ask you please utilize our secure online patient portal at irwindentalcenter.com or call the office to make payments or schedule appointments.
- Our office will call you prior to your appointment to ask you some health screening questions. We will also ask you bring a mask. If you do not have one, we will provide one for you.
- On the day of your appointment & upon arrival, please call the office from your car to start the check in process (360-457-0489) and continuation of screening. You’ll be asked the same questions and given further instruction. In addition to the health screening questions we will take your temperature. Any patient with a temperature of 100.4* or above will be asked to return home and call to reschedule their appointment. We will give you a mask if needed and ask you to use the hand sanitizer provided.
- We will be disinfecting high touch areas multiple times a day. You will see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect. You will also see additional personal protective equipment throughout the office.
Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty now, more than ever and look forward to welcoming you back into the office and are happy to answer any questions you may have. We will get through these difficult times together! To schedule an appointment, please call our office at 360-457-0489 or visit our website at irwindentalcenter.com.
